For mothers and children

Maternity and Child Health Handbook

When you become pregnant, fill in a pregnancy registration form at the Health Care Center or Nakaminato Health Consultation Center. You will receive a "Maternity and Child Health Handbook". You can receive free check-ups by presenting the handbook to your doctor.

Parenting Classes (Pre-papa, Pre-mama class)

Childbirth Classes are held at the Health Care Center for parents .. Classes cover topics such as pregnancy, child-delivery and childcare.

Health Care for Infants

*Bile duct examination (for up to 2 month-old babies)
*Health check-up for up to 12month-old babies (twice; free of charge)
*Childcare consultation (for mothers with babies up to 12 months of age. Topics include nursing, feeding,etc.)
*Childcare consultation(for 5-6-month-old babies).
*Health check-up(for 18month-old children).
*Health check-up(for 3 year-old children).

Immunization Programs

To protect children against diseases, immunization programs are available. You will receive a notice of the date of inoculations.

Medical costs for preschool children are subsidized depending on the income of the guardian.You will be required to pay your share of the medical cost for each visit.You will be refunded the fee for children until up to 2 years old.
Medical costs for pregnant women and nursing mothers who received Maternity and Child Helth Handbook are subsidized depending on the income of the guardian.You will be required to pay 10%~30% of the medical cost for each visit.You will be refunded the fee other than your share of the cost.
