National Pension

The National Pension System was designed to help provide a stable life after one's retirement. All registered aliens, from 20 to 60 years of age are required to join the National Pension system. To receive benefits, one must pay premiums for 25 years or more.
The pension enrollment period in foreign countries which have concluded an agreement on social security with Japan is transferable to Japan.In other words,payments made in one's hone country may be added to payments made in Japan when calculating the pension.
