Municipal Taxes

Municipal Residence Tax

Those who live in Hitachinaka as of January 1st and had income during the previous year must pay this tax.

Small Car Tax

Those who have a motorbike or a light car in Hitachinaka as of April 1st must pay.

Those who own land or a house within the city as of January 1st must pay.

City Planning Tax

Those who own land or a house in the areas designated for urbanization or in some undesignated areas as of January 1st must pay.

*Taxes can be paid at the banks or the agencies listed on the tax notice. Bank transfer is also convenient. To apply, bring the bankbook,the inkan(personal seal)which you use to access your bank account and the tax notice to banks.Payment 300,000yen or lesscan be accepted at convenience stores since April 1st,2008..
