- Registration
And Certificate Of Personal Seal
|
In Japan,a personal seal(inkan)is often used instead of a signature
as official verification in certain situations.Especially for important
documents, many people use an officially registered seal called"jitsuin".An
registered alien over 15 years old can register a seal at the city hall.
When you register the seal,a seal registration card(inkan touroku sho)
will be issued. In some situations when you use your registered seal, you
may be asked to provide a personal seal registration certificate(inkan
syoumei sho)to prove that the seal is in fact your registered one.To
obtain the certificate, you need to present your personal seal registration
card at the city hall.
If you wish to register your own personal seal, following items are required:
Seal(the diameter
of seal must be between 8mm and 25mm,and the name on the seal must be
the same as the one on the Alien Registration Certificate.)
