Garbage is collected on several different days, according to the type:
burnable, non-burnable, toxic, and recyclable garbage.
Efficient garbage collection, with your cooperation, will help control pollution, save natural resources, as well as preserve the natural environment.

Putting out the trash

When disposing of your garbage, please follow the directions below.

Use designated bags. You can buy these bags at supermarkets and convenience stores anywhere in Hitachinaka.

When you put out items that are larger than a bag (lighter than 10kg), put a sticker (gomi-shori-ken) on each item.

For burnable or non-burnable items, put your garbage at the pick-up point in your area by 8:30 a.m. (For recyclable garbage, from 7:00-9:00 a.m.) Ask about pick-up points and days for your neighborhood or see the "Collection Dates" section .

Burnable, non-burnable and recyclable items will be collected even on rainy days.

If you want to dispose of a large amount of garbage or an item of large size, bring it to the Sanitation Center or Natural Resource Recycling Center. (Before bringing them, call City Hall to receive instructions).
