Electricity

After the move

In Hitachinaka,Tokyo Electric Company is the electric power supplier. When you start using electricity, fill out the postcard attached to the breaker and send it in.
To turn on the electricity, please follow these instructions:
Turn on the ampere breaker switch.
Turn on the circuit breaker switch.
Turn on the switch for the interior wiring of the house.

Appliances

The electrical current in Hitachinaka is 50cycles /100 volts. If you move to western Japan where the cycles are different (60 cycles), you may need to adjust or replace some appliances. Refer to your owner's manual or check at an appliance store. Remember that the voltage required for many foreign appliances is different from that for products made in Japan.
